My version of a trip report
What a great run!!! I was really itching to try out those new tires and they did great (at least when they were dry)
We all met up at the Fort and left around 9am. Stopped at Fairplay to gas up and we were on our way. I was very surprised to
see the reservior completely dry. I guess they have been working on it all summer.
In attendance
Whipper Snapper from CO4x4 (later on pulled me out twice from the V notch)
Heavy Metal/Nate from CO4x4
Sleeper cell from the Rock Zombies (Thanks for spotting me bro)
Spy from the Zombies who trailered his rig and of course Liz and I
Trail starts with a great obstacle, Once I saw all these guy running their front & rear locker I worried about not making it up. But after some
great spotting on behalf of Sleeper cell I made it up with no problems.
Spy's Rig has some much flex... its awesome!
After the 1st obstacle you go thru the minning section that you all see on TR and then you get some really cool views
Once you get to the second obstacle you can take 5 different lines 3 in one obstacle, another an easy climb on the left hand side of the
second obstacle or the far right which is the V notch.

Me giving it a try even though I knew I wasnt gonna get up it with out a front locker
Since I didnt make it i decided to go thru the V notch, which at first was all fine but then...... I also realized that now that the Jeep got bigger
and I have a locker Im going to need to practice more
on trails like these where you REALLY need to pick your lines to not fuck up your shit. After a couple of attempts with out being able to get up
I just asked to be pulled over with a strap.
After that rush I really enjoyed some more great views

Ahh and we finally make it to the lake!! Ive been wanting to get up here for the past 3 or 4 years.
Liz and I went over to do some exploring
Sleeper cell told us about an old mine shaft so we went to check it out. It was about 100 yard into the mountain. Bring a flashlight if you want
check it out.
On our way back we picked up a hiker lady that looked like if she was really tired. Really nice lady and the first thing she ask's Liz and me is:
So do you know any single guys that like to do this..... ? hahahaha We then stopped at the V notch again to play some more and thats when I got
stuck AGAIN!! Sorry no pics of that but Steve posted up video.
