Well trail lived up to it's name today. LOTS of carnage. I don't even know where to start........

LOTS of creative winching today. I tried out a few ideas on winching and they worked well.


The list as I remember it.

-Dan broke front driveshaft/slave cylinder and bell housing
-I broke trans/t-case adapter in half at the wedge
-Chad, The Cock Sucking Probie Cocksucker lost tranny cooler just after wedge
tranny puked shortly there after
-MikeyG main fuse to harness( fixed with a penny)
electric fan issues
-Jeff's list
rear winch
bead on rear tire
oil pressure
motor (includes his steering as it is full hydro)

I ended up towing Jeff down and MikeyG towed Chad, The Cock Sucking Probie Cocksucker down

way off the trail after a LONG day

The good part of today is I got to try out my truck towing tandem on Johnny's 32' goose and it went GREAT!! Plenty of power and I even passed people on the way out and a few on the way back. The guy in the 06? powerstroke towing the gutted 1/2ton truck on a 14' trailer was PISSED when I passed him going up hill!

Towing 16K went very smooth.

Duramax and Cummins always tow well, and I know that and I drive a Ford. BTW, how did you know it was an 06 not an 05 or 07?

This was a LONG weekend of wheeling for sure.

Saturday a couple of us ran Chinamans and only got about 1 mile in. The CJ had some electrical issues at the trail head which tool about an hour to "fix" Then on the way up the first hill I tore a 5 inch gash in the side wall on a tree root. Shortly after mounting the spare my buddy in his TJ exploded his passenger side axle shaf u-jount which also took out the ears on the end of the shaft.

Sunday was complete carnage...

As Jimmy said we all had some issues. The trail was muddy and wet which made for alot of winching! In addition to my blown maxi-fuse (replaced with a copper penny) the thermostat for the electric fans took a shit and so did the solenoid on my remote power switch for the winch. All hardwired to the battery for now. And this morning the garage floor was covered with front diff fluid.

We ran it with them till we had to deal with the bad tranny in Chads.

Van had electric fan issues at the beginning and his son broke a rear 60 axle shaft. A toyota (cause I couldn't afford a jeep) had a electrical issue in the wedge and think that was it for them.

Well, I would put a +1 for manual tranny on that. I haven't seen the break, but my adapter is not sealed. If it cracked all the way through it would only be a matter of time until I would be immobile.
