Just rooted my phone. Runs faster and has a newer version of android than sprint made available for this phone. I can also use the phone as a wireless hotspot now too. Wish I had done this a long time ago.

What kind of phone? I tired my original Droid, as well as my new Thunderbolt. Its amazing what you can do with these things!

Samsung Moment, it's almost 2 yrs old, and it's faster now than when it was new. Underclocked the processor for longer battery life with no noticable performance hit.

Sdx developer forums is the place to go for samsung phones.

Changed file format from rfs to ext2/ext4, as well as trying a different rom. Froyo 2.2.2 eb28. This rom has some stuff I like, such as the keyboard from gingerbread and some sweet eyecandy for the boot animation.

Well at least with the ext4 you can hold a file that is bigger than your hd....

Data is on my sd card, still rocking the 2gb card that came with the phone. I think the hardware would support up to 16gb, but I haven't run out of space.

Oh, rooting also gave me the ability to move my apps from the phone's internal storage to the sd card.
