Re kindling an old flame, or new. depends

So the crawler craze if starting up (again) with impromptu rock courses popping up in a back yard near you.

A few of the club members have recently purchased some rock crawlers, not going half ass about it buying them from Wal-Mart, but good ones. This got me interested again to dig up my 1st/gen Axial AX-10. I did some body mods and some others, and wolah! I'm back. I am working on getting some of my old battery packs rejuvenated. I had to throw some away as they were trashed. :-(

Post up pics of your rig! I have to upload a few pics myself, but will do that soon.

I've got a Tamiya RC Touring Car...it is an Alpha Romeo body on a TA02 Chasis, All wheel drive with a sweet Novak speed controller. Hauls some major ass with the Trinity Saphire Speed Gem 17T Single motor and upgraded spur gear installed! It would be nice to sell it or trade it for an RC Crawler.

Here's my new one. This is my first foray into rc cars so I'm a total newbie.

Mine is the Axial (green) and Mike's is the Losi. They're pretty fun that's for sure. I already bought bigger tires for it and it made a difference. Now it's time for some other cheap and easy mods!

Nice rig rico aka "Cookie". So far I like the Axial stuff. Losi ain't bad either though. Like with the big trucks it's all about tuning the rig to the way you run it. There are soooo many ways to do it. IMO there is more to fookin' with the tires that helps out than anything.

Yeah, interesting what I've learned about these little things in the last week. I got the basics but the details are where it's at. Weighting down areas of the vehicle that need it, the ability to move components to change your weight distribution, all that stuff! It's amazing the amount of options one has! Although I shouldn't be surprised being in the field I'm in, and my recent foray into 1911's, there are options for days!!!
