Axle shims

Postby joshp xj » Mon Jun 06, 2011 2:53 pm

Anybody have or know where I can get some shims quick?
Not sure what size I will need but when I get my new shaft I don't want to destroy it like my Tom woods.
Thanks

Yeah, we can have em or can get em depending on what degree angle you'll need. I can make a fairly educated guess based on suspension but usually best to install the sye and get a more accurate angle that way.

Sweet. I do remember rat trap saying he had some.
Off the subject, has anybody used boulder driveline? They are pretty close to me and I was thinking of having them make my shaft.

I have used englewood driveshaft since I was 16. They have never done me wrong and stand behind their stuff.

Driveline specialists has a good name. When I worked at high country, they built all of the shafts we put on rigs. There stuff looks real nice.

Back when I ordered a SYE from high country they used Driveline Specialist.

Depending on your amount of lift, why not just cut off the perches and remount. Then you can redo your shock mounts to make them right in angle also....

Just a thought.

IMO that would be the best way to take care of it.
